Angua hit the vampire, and she was solid, not the sort of thing the wolf was used to biting down on. Or so she assumed, since she didn't get that far; the woman lashed out at her, catching Angua in the flank. She whimpered and fell to the the ground, immediately springing to her feet despite the pain in her ribs.
It didn't matter, though; the woman was already taking off, evidently offended. Angua growled after her until she couldn't see her anymore, then turned to Barney and trotted over, trying not to limp. She nosed him lightly, trying to see if he was all right.
